Boo!

Certain words evoke automatic responses in 
people... responses that are essentially 
unlinked from higher level cognition.
Rape.
Nigger.
Fuck.
Cunt.
Most of these words revolve around 
cultural taboos or self-identity "hot spots," 
but that is not relevant to my point.  My 
point is, that the words themselves have 
reached a point where they have power, even 
when they are divorced from context or 
meaning.
Admit it.  Something inside you jerked 
when you read the words rape, 
nigger, fuck and cunt.  
At least one of them triggered a brief flare 
of automatic emotion, even though they are 
totally divorced from contextual meaning... 
the words are harmless, pointless, 
uninvolved... but they still hurt you.


Certain words have been hardwired into 
your brains.  These words trigger uncontrolled 
emotional responses.
I am slowly learning these words.  Would
