As the door opens, the lights go out. Particularly attentive members of the audience might catch a glimpse of a huge, hunched over bulk, draped with folds of yellow cloth, waiting at the door. Smiling.

The remainder of the scene is performed in absolute silence. Strobe light at five second intervals. In the brief flashes, the audience can make out something huge and grotesque, moving with terrifying, silent speed towards the STRANGER. The thing tears at the STRANGER, still all in silence. This goes on for a total of four flashes of the strobe, by which point there is little left of the STRANGER bearing any resemblance to a human form.

Darkness for one minute.

A flash illuminates the stage, showing something slouched in the throne.

For the next hour, there are intermittent flashes showing the thing in the throne. After one hour, there is only darkness.

No curtain.
