Pah. If you're going to argue out of a desire to argue, rather than a genuine concern for the issue at hand, that's fine... but you should be a bit more careful with the points you choose to raise.

In short, you're beginning to seem disinterested, and it's making you clumsy.

You know full well that the system of equal treatment that you see fit to defend is not acting out of any sort of understanding or acknowledgment of the need for equal treatment... the system is predicated on a genuine belief in equality between individuals. People actually believe that all people are equal, and that is why all people deserve equal treatment.

That unfortunate misconception is why the system fails, and why the system fails so spectacularly.

Don't make the mistake of assuming that the rest of the world has the same clarity of thought that you do.


If you really want to impress me, formulate an argument for why every person deserves equal treatment under the law. Do it in E-prime.
