I slept poorly last night. It felt like my dreams were sizzling through my brain.

I wrote my first computer virus yesterday. It is an exceedingly simple .bat file that performs a single self-replication. Further instances of the program do not self-replicate; instead, they write a single line of commentary and attach it to the source code of the first copy. There is no payload.

The program is a virus only in the strictest sense (or perhaps the loosest sense) of the word. Still... for my first day of vbs programming I consider it a success.

I learned a few other little tricks and secrets too.
